What to do in NYC for teens

A complete guide to visiting New York City with teenagers! Discover the best places to eat, shop, and take Instagram photos in NYC!
Hey Friends!
This spring break, I traveled to NYC with my family to tour colleges and HAD to share some of my favorite spots we visited with you all! Here is my full "Teens Guide to NYC" filled with all my favorite places to eat, shop, and take pictures while in the city!

Food:
- Black Tap : I’m pretty sure Black Tap is on every NYC guide but I just had to add it to the list because it's that cool. Black tap specializes in insane milkshakes and burgers ( I got the vegan burger and split the sweet n salty milkshake with the fam and both were 10/10) If you don't mind waiting outside in the cold for a while this is a must see

-La Pizza & La Pasta at Eataly: Eataly is absolutely incredible and so fun to walk around even if you just need to warm up for an bit. It's essentially a giant Italian food market with 6 different themed restaurants inside. We ate at the pizza and pasta restaurant and everything was DELICIOUS. We orders a pizza and a bowl of pasta and let me tell you it was the best pasta i've ever eaten ( & I don't even really like pasta ik i'm weird ok)

- Wagamama: This one has been a favorite of mine ever since I was a wee little 12 year old. I first tried wagamama In London years ago and have been dying to go back ever since, unfortunately they have very few locations in the US but if you are ever in nyc this is a MUST! They serve Asian fusion at super reasonable prices and have free green tea (you already know I will take anything that's free ;))

-Ippudo New York: If you are a ramen lover, this one’s for you! Ippudo was recommended to me by a friend and it was soooo yummy. Their tofu is AMAZING and the ramen is also delicious. If you want to try it out though I would recommend going early because the wait time can get pretty long.

Shopping:
- & Other Stories : I stumbled upon this store at the Oculus and instantly fell in love !! It's pretty much like a cheaper version of Anthropologie with mega good sales and AMAZING affordable jewelry.

-Melissa: If you follow me on instagram (which if you don't get on it @katebartlettblog) you may have seen that I stopped in Galleria Melissa while shopping. Honestly I didn't even know what kind of store it was from the outside but the super trippy entrance lured me in lol. Basically Melissa is a brazilian shoe store that specializes in plastic shoes and accessories and let me tell you they are ADORABLE! If you are in the city I would totally recommend stopping in even if it's just to check out the cool building ( I swear it's like a mini art museum )

- Kusmi Tea: I had never heard of Kusmi before my trip but the bright colors and free samples (are you even surprised?) drew me in. This is the perfect place for buying gifts for the “girl who already has everything” because it has the trendiest teas and the cutest packaging. In my opinion, you can never go wrong with getting someone some yummy tea!

Photo Spots:
- The Oculus : The oculus is an AMAZING spot for instagram photos and also has a ton a cute shops to look around (plus the subway stops takes you directly inside so yay for not having to go out in the cold!) The architecture and lighting is incredible and would look great if you have a bright feed like me.

- West Village: I decided to check out some spots in the West Village after one of my favorite bloggers Blair recommended them to me and let me tell you.. That place is Instagram HEAVEN! I would check out Bedford Street by Grove/Barrow/Commerce Streets, If you walk around that area you will find the cutest little spots. Plus there are adorable flower shops and cafes around every corner and the area is quiet and not crowded.

- DUMBO: Check out the famous view of the Manhattan bridge at Washington @ Water Street!

-Soho: I would recommend the southern part of Soho for picture taking as it is much less crowded, some great areas are Wooster, Greene, and Mercer all closer to Broome

- Tribeca: For great instagram shots check out the Staple Street alley by Duane/Hudson
